Through the ancient magic of Shou Sugi Ban, a Japanese technique that burns wood for protection, the simple is transformed into the sublime, bestowing upon objects eternal durability and timeless beauty. The artwork is a tribute to the transformative power of creativity and an invitation to rediscover the hidden beauty in the most humble and forgotten things.
With reverence, they are guided through the fire, allowing the flames to caress their surfaces, sealing their fate in an eternal cycle of transformation and rebirth, a metaphor for life itself. In their embrace, eternity is sought, aware that death is not the antithesis of life, but an intrinsic part of it.
Haruki Murakami in the book "Norwegian Wood" wrote:
"The fire was an alchemy that turned wood into ash, and each extinguished ember was a promise of a new beginning."
