Small panels, placed in sequence, pieces of skies thickened through which shadows of planes passing through and dropping bombs.
The flight of the planes is depicted in sequence, as if they were moving cinematic "frames." However, the movement is effectively crystallized, frozen in fragments that fixate, and therefore disturbing as they compel thought to concentrate, to suspend, to fixate on that moment so as not to be habit or indifference.
Nothing is rendered with a natural appearance, the sky is depicted in pieces, geometric, contiguous but separate, made of a combination of chalk and vinyl acetate that cracks and splits as the planes pass through, which instead of solid metal, are ethereal, unhealthy shadows, swarms of dangerous and infesting insects. And everything is aesthetically elegant, hence attractive in black and white.

Piccoli riquadri, posti in sequenza, pezzi di cieli addensati
attraverso i quali passano ombre d'aerei che scaricano bombe.
Il volo degli aerei è reso in sequenza, come fossero “fotogrammi” cinematografici in movimento. Tuttavia il movimento è di fatto cristallizzato, raggelato in lacerti che si fissano, e per questo inquietanti giacchè costringono il pensiero alla concentrazione, a sospendersi, a fissarsi su quel momento perchè non sia abitudine o indifferenza.
Nulla è reso con un aspetto che in natura è proprio, il cielo è reso in brani, geometrici, contigui ma separati, fatti in un insieme di gesso e di acetato di vinile che si crepa e si spacca al passare degli aerei, che invece del metallo pieno, sono eterei, ombre malsane, nugoli di insetti pericolosi e infestanti. E tutto è esteticamente elegante, dunque attraente nel bianco e nero.
La guerra è qui mostrata come un'opera.
